Concrete contractor in Mississauga

Driveway replacement is one of the most visible residential concrete projects, but the new surface still has to meet the garage, sidewalk or street and the grade along the property. Those elevations need to be understood before the old layout is reproduced.

01

Driveways are a set of fixed connections

At many Mississauga homes, the garage threshold and public sidewalk leave a defined amount of elevation for the private driveway. If an old panel has sunk beside the garage or a puddle remains near the sidewalk, replacing the concrete to the same profile can repeat the problem.

Widening adds another question. Permitted width, landscaped area and curb access should be checked for the specific property before a strip beside the existing driveway is treated as available parking surface.

02

Front entrances and backyard work

A front walk often links the driveway to steps and a porch installed at different times. Replacing one part can expose height differences at the others, so the whole route should be read before a form line is chosen.

Backyard patios bring a different set of limits: rear-door height, basement windows, gates, fences and the route for removing soil. The usable patio dimension should include chairs and walking space, not only the table footprint.

03

Concrete across the city

Properties in Port Credit, Clarkson, Lorne Park, Mineola and Lakeview should not be reduced to one site type. The same is true in Cooksville, Streetsville, Erin Mills, Meadowvale and Applewood. Existing grades, access and what previous work left below the surface are property-specific.

Mississauga Concrete focuses on residential exterior work: driveways, patios, walks, steps, porches, pads, finish choices and removal of concrete that no longer performs. A site discussion starts with what is there now and what needs to work differently.
