A measured base for the selected shed
Concrete shed pads
Confirm the shed dimensions before the concrete is formed. A pad that is guessed from an approximate shed size can leave too little support or a wide exposed edge around the finished structure.

Match the actual footprint
Use the selected model’s base dimensions and installation information, not only its marketed outside size. Wall overhangs, floor framing and anchor locations can change how the concrete relates to the structure.
Location and access
The shed needs workable clearance from fences and other features, while the construction route must accommodate excavation, base material and concrete. Applicable zoning or permit requirements should be verified for the address and shed.
Grade, runoff and coordination
A level support surface still has to fit within a yard that drains. The surrounding grade should not send water against the shed or leave the pad as a barrier across the yard. Anchor details should be coordinated with the shed supplier before placement.
