Patterned exterior concrete
Stamped concrete
Stamped concrete uses patterned tools and colouring methods to change the appearance of a poured surface. It is usually considered for areas such as patios, entrances and walkways where the finish is a larger part of the design.

Pattern needs a scale
Large stone patterns read differently on a narrow walkway than on an open patio. Borders can define edges, but too many pattern changes may make a small surface feel fragmented. Samples should be viewed at a useful size.
Colour is a system, not a screen value
Base colour, release methods, curing, sealing and natural concrete variation all affect the result. A digital sample is a direction rather than an exact promise, especially under different outdoor light.
Joints still matter
Pattern does not remove concrete’s need for planned joints. Joint locations should be considered with the layout so they do their construction job without appearing as an afterthought.
Texture, sealing and maintenance
Deeper texture changes how furniture sits and how the surface is cleared. Sealers may affect colour and sheen and require future maintenance. Product choice, application conditions and the homeowner’s tolerance for upkeep should be discussed before selecting the finish.
